The work on the golf course has been completed and we will be reopening Saturday morning. As we are all aware, the Covid-19 virus is still continuing to spread, therefore we will continue with the amended rules for playing until such time as the danger passes. If you have been exposed or suspect that you have been exposed to the virus you should self quarantine for 14 days. Do NOT play golf if you have a fever, headache, cough, sore throat, or other symptoms of the Covid-19 virus. Guests are not allowed at this time and the clubhouse and restrooms will remain closed. The patio will be open if everyone practices physical distancing. Benches have been moved to sunny areas to shorten life of virus should they become infected. Do not move them to shady areas. Residents must wear badges. Anyone without their badge will be asked to leave the course. While it’s fun to play for quarters this is not the time for either the after game meetings or the exchange of winnings. It’s just not worth it. All points of common contact have been eliminated. There are no ball washers, sand trap rakes, or sand boxes for repairing divots on the course. Do not touch flags. If your ball passes over the hole or bounces off the flag, consider it holed. If it stops in the hole remove it with your club before you pick it up. Pick up short putts. Don’t touch anything that could pass the virus to you or from you to someone else. Maintain 6 feet of separation at all times. Remember 6 feet is the minimum, more is better. Be aware that those who don’t play golf are nervous about the spread of the virus and people who are at a distance away might think that you are closer than you are. Again, more is better. Carry hand sanitize and use it. We recommend playing in twosomes. A foursome will be allowed if the players maintain 6 feet of separation. NO FIVESOMES OR GREATER. If there are backups of people waiting to tee off, DO NOT CONGREGATE OR GATHER IN GROUPS WHILE WAITING TO TEE OFF. Anyone violating any of these rules will be warned, if it’s a minor violation and banned if it’s a major violation or if the warning isn’t heeded. Enjoy our golf courses and be safe.

Dear Ruth, I have completed my project at Friendly Valley Village and I wanted to thank you for allowing me to place my big and final project in your community. Thank you for advising me and becoming a friend to me. I am honored to be a part of your community and to be able contribute a beautiful rock garden and bench along with knowledge that I was able to share to your community on the importance of saving water.
The council is sending you my report for you to review. I hope you like it. I am so proud of it! I am really looking forward to completing the final steps with approvals in earning my Gold Award.
I made a video of my project on you tube! I hope you can check it out! Thank you again. Sincerely, Lyza Polanco
