Completed another project, this is my 12th project since the woodshop was closed. It's a gift cardholder. We've collected several gift cards over the past year. We seem to have gotten cards on birthdays, Mother's Day, Father's Day, Christmas, and sometimes for no particular reason. But it hasn't always been possible to use them. So they ended up in a disorganized pile on my desk. It's a pretty simple build that uses only 1/8" and 1/2" plywood. The unit is 5 7/16" long, 4 3/8" deep, and 2 1/2" high. The slots were cut using a 1/8" up-cutting router bit. The project is finished on the outside with three coats of clear, spray-on shellac. I put only one coat on the inside.
